Durk Derrick Banks is professionally known as Lil Durk, and he is an American Rapper and Singer. He is from Chicago, Illinois, and came under the limelight with the release of his mixtape series, ‘ Signed to the Streets’. This invited him to sign a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings, and this company released his debut studio album, ‘Remember My Name’ in the year 2015, followed by ‘Lil Durk 2X’ in the year 2016.

In the year 2020, Lik Durk made his first appearance on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ as a lead artist with his ‘Viral Moment’ single. Early life and parents:

Lil Durk was born on 19th October 1992 in the Englewood Neighbourhood of the South of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in a simple family with a great deal of responsibility, as his father was incarcerated when he was just seven months old. When he grew up, he started to establish his presence on the social media channels like YouTube and Myspace. Soon, he grew fond of the idea of becoming a rapper as his fan base expanded. He took his career very seriously when he became a father at the age of 19 and dropped out of School to join Black Disciples, a street gang in Chicago. 

Durk was born on 19th October 1992 and belongs to the Muslim religion, throughout his childhood, his father, Dontay Banks Sr, has been serving a prison sentence. His father was released from the Federal prison only on 19th July 2017. He has an older brother, Dontay Banks Jr. Information about his mother is not known. Since the year 2020, Durk has been engaged to his longtime girlfriend, India Royale. He now has six children.
