Beautiful Blooming
Spring is Nirvana—the sun shines, the world blooms, and gorgeous blossoms drift through the air like perfect little parachutes. It’s perhaps the most refreshing time of the year, and you can just about taste its vibrancy.
Spring represents the miracle of rebirth, bringing incredible colors and beautiful scenery that is perfect for photographs and broader visual enjoyment. Every season has its own unique qualities, of course, but spring stands out as a joyous celebration of life.
Finally, a Break from the Cold Weather
Although I’ve lived in the Northeast for the majority of my life, I’ve never acclimated to the cold. Winters here are dry, lifeless, and often hellish; the world looks as drab as it feels. Snow may be a wonderful treat, but I’ve always preferred lush green fields to ice and slush.
Birdwatching is a hobby very near and dear to my heart, so I’m obligated to enjoy the warmer months; during winter, there are almost no birds around! I’m looking forward to dusting off my binoculars once everything heats back up.
Perfect Chance to Show Off My Face
For years, I’ve been searching for a way to tackle my biggest insecurity: my face. Over time, my skin has grown saggy and developed all kinds of wrinkles; I long for the days when I didn’t have to worry about the next time, I look in a mirror.
As a Christmas present for myself, I scheduled a facelift. Finally, a winter that will work with me rather than against me—I’ll be able to stay indoors as I recover, completely comfy and cozy, and by the time spring comes, I’ll have blossomed into a more beautiful version of myself!
This facelift, of course, isn’t just a temporary fix for my problems; it will improve my self-esteem for years to come. I get butterflies thinking about how my friends and family members will react to the new me!
Spring Cleaning
For most people, spring cleaning is a chore, but I take great pleasure in it. It’s an opportunity to go through all of my belongings and decide what I do and don’t need—and it makes my house look a lot tidier! This past Black Friday, in fact, I bought myself a collection of high-quality products that will help me clean quicker and more efficiently.
Spring cleaning, at least for me, is more of an art than an obligation, and I absolutely adore the feeling of having completed it. It might be a lot of work, but it’s highly satisfying to step back and admire what you’ve done. It also helps that guests tend to notice your labor!
One of the things that makes me feel even more accomplished is donating the items I no longer use to the less fortunate. Every year, I drop off a few boxes at the Salvation Army down the road; it feels wonderful to know I’m making a difference!
Outdoor Activities & Sports
Breaking free of winter’s prison comes with a welcome return to physical activity, which includes many outdoor activities like gardening, hiking, biking, football, soccer, and simply running around under the sun.
There’s nothing quite as magical as witnessing the world rise back to life after months of a cold, brutal reality. So, enjoy the short spring months and soak up all the fun and enjoyment you possibly can—I know I will!
